Potato Cheddar Perogies

Ingredients
  
Filling 
8 cupsCavendish Farms Steakhouse Cut Fries, prepped
4 tbspbutter
1 cuponion diced
1 cupcheddar cheese, shredded
¼ cupparmesan cheese, grated
1 tspsalt
1 tspblack pepper
  
For Serving 
24wonton wrappers
2 tbspbutter
1onion, sliced
  

 


Directions
  1. Heat Cavendish Farms Steakhouse Cut Fries according to instructions. When cooked, put in a large bowl and mash well.
    2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and cook onion until golden and tender. Add to Steakhouse Cut Fries. Stir in cheese, salt and pepper. Set aside.
    3. Working with 1 wonton, place 1 tsp filling on each round. Lightly moisten edge of half of the round with water and fold over the filling. Pinch edges together to seal.
    4. Place on a flour-dusted cloth.
    5. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook perogies, in batches. Stir gently, until floating and tender, about 5 minutes. Remove carefully and strain.
    6. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook onion until golden, about 6-8 minutes. Add perogies. Cook until golden and serve.
