Ingredients
- 1 bag Cavendish Farms FlavourCrisp Classic Crinkle Cut Fries
- 1 box elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 slices cooked bacon, chopped (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Directions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
- Spread Crinkle Cut Fries in the air fryer basket and cook according to packaging instructions.
- Cook macaroni elbows in a pot of salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper, and stir until smooth, about 1 - 2 minutes to form a roux.
- Slowly whisk in whole milk, and bring to a gentle simmer until slightly thickened, 3 – 4 minutes. Turn the heat to low.
- Stir in shredded cheddar a little at a time until melted. Remove from heat. Add cooked macaroni and stir to coat.
- Transfer the cooked Crinkle Cut Fries to a serving dish and spoon warm mac and cheese on top.
- Garnish with chopped bacon and green onions.
