Loaded Mac & Cheese Crinkle Cut Fries

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Cavendish Farms FlavourCrisp Classic Crinkle Cut Fries
  • 1 box elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, chopped (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Spread Crinkle Cut Fries in the air fryer basket and cook according to packaging instructions.
  3. Cook macaroni elbows in a pot of salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  4. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper, and stir until smooth, about 1 - 2 minutes to form a roux.
  5. Slowly whisk in whole milk, and bring to a gentle simmer until slightly thickened, 3 – 4 minutes. Turn the heat to low.
  6. Stir in shredded cheddar a little at a time until melted. Remove from heat. Add cooked macaroni and stir to coat.
  7. Transfer the cooked Crinkle Cut Fries to a serving dish and spoon warm mac and cheese on top.
  8. Garnish with chopped bacon and green onions.
