The Air Fryer is perfect for making a batch of crispy fries, and it’s faster than pre-heating, then cooking frozen fries in the oven! The results are much better than oven-frying, and your kitchen stays cool. Air fryers make it easy to whip up frozen foods!
Tips for the Best Air Fryer Frozen Fries
- Shake it Up: to make sure your frozen fries get that golden crisp and are cooked evenly, be sure to toss them gently halfway through (some even recommend every 5 minutes). You’ll want to rotate the bottom to the top and move them around. Some air fryers rotate automatically, but you’ll still want to check and see how they’re doing.
- Don’t Overfill: follow the instructions from your air fryer for how much you can fill the basket, but our recommendation is to not fill your air fryer more than half to ¾ full of fries. There’s no need to put your frozen fries in a single layer, but definitely don’t overcrowd the basket. If the basket is too full, you may end up with undercooked fries.
- Crispiness: generally, the longer you cook the fries, the crispier they will become. However, depending on the type and thickness of frozen fry you’re cooking; you might need to increase or decrease the cooking time. Our best recommendation is to shake it up and check often on your fries, especially if it’s your first time making them!
