Hot Tot Fondue

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Cavendish Farms Quick Crisp Potato Tots
  • 1 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Gruyère cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salt, to taste
  • Broccoli florets, steamed (for dipping)
  • Bell peppers, sliced (for dipping)
  • Apples, sliced (for dipping)
  • Cocktail sausages, cooked (for dipping)

Directions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Spread Potato Tots in the air fryer basket and cook according to packaging instructions.
  3. To prep fondue, melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook, whisking constantly, for 1 – 2 minutes until slightly golden.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk, a little at a time, until smooth and thickened, about 3 – 4 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low. Gradually add shredded Gruyère and Swiss, a small handful at a time, stirring constantly until melted and smooth. Stir in nutmeg and season with salt to taste.
  6. Transfer fondue to a heatproof serving dish or fondue pot.
  7. Serve hot with cooked Potato Tots, broccoli florets, bell peppers, apple slices, and cocktail sausages for dipping!
